Society's obsession with perfection is toxic for young people.
That's according to Caolán Faux who is the Director of Youth Work Ireland across Cavan and Monaghan.
His concerns come after the latest ISPCC report which found anxiety to be a key issue for those using the childline service.
Mr Faux says encouraging local children and teenagers to be more resilient towards unrealistic perceptions in society is a huge focus.
He believes giving young people the correct tools to bounce back from a negative experience is vital when it comes to protecting the mental health and well-being of our youth.
