The Managing Director of a local travel agent has called on the government to adopt the EU Covid-19 certificate.
Previously known as the digital green cert, it would allow vaccinated people from all over the world to travel to the EU.
The EU Covid-19 certificate would also show whether someone's tested negative for coronavirus in the past three days or recently recovered from the virus.
However, Ireland isn't automatically covered by the plan, so can choose to opt in or out.
