A local theatre manager is confident that there is an appetite for the return of shows.
Padraig McIntyre is over the Ramor Theatre and Cavan Town Hall, and due to the Covid restrictions after Christmas cancelled shows until February.
He said that many artists felt that the 5pm start time was not feasible and chose to postpone their shows.
However, Padraig thinks that drama groups are eager to get back on stage and people want to be back in theatres meaning things should improve in the coming months.
He says there should be a measured approach to the easing of restrictions but the extension of the opening hours would be a major help :
