The Artistic Director of a local theatre company says it will be "heart-breaking" if pantos and Christmas performances can't go ahead.
Eileen Costello, of The Garage Theatre in Monaghan, says there's confusion and "everything is up in the air" after the Health Minister said pantos can go ahead, but advised against children attending.
She warned that upcoming productions, including two sold-out performances of "Matilda", might have to be cancelled as a result.
Eileen says she thought comments from Health Minister Stephen Donnelly about parents attending pantomimes without children were a "joke" and added that the Garage Theatre is a safe environment:
