Ireland should be going further in the International Court of Justice case against Israel.
That's the view of local TD Matt Carthy who has welcomed that Ireland has joined South Africa's International Court of Justice case against Israel.
This week, the ICJ confirmed Ireland had filed a declaration of intervention concerning the South African case which accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza. Tanaiste Micheal Martin says Ireland is intervening to promote a consistent interpretation of the Genocide Convention. However Sinn Fein's Matt Carthy says while it's the right move, we haven't gone far enough.
