Dereliction is being dealt with head on in Bailieboro according to local TD, Deputy Niamh Smyth.
Deputy Smyth said that Town Regeneration Officer with Cavan County Council, Caroline Brady has played a major role thus far in the fight against dereliction and vacancy rates in the town of Bailieboro.
She says this has been helped by the introduction of the new Garda station that looks set to open early next year on the site of the old National Irish bank in the town.
She added the new community hub in the courthouse was having a major benefit for so many in the community
Deputy Smyth also pointed out that she knows there is a lot of concern surrounding the market square junction, highlighting that works need to be carried out to make motorists and pedestrians feel safe
The Fianna Fail TD says there has been a major emphasises on approving the Co Cavan town for people to live, work and visit.
