It comes after a column published in the Irish Mail on Sunday took issue with the appearance of 10 Fianna Fáil politicians who attended a party convention last week.
Overgrown facial hair, 'bulging bellies' and creased dresses were among the comments made in the now viral article by Niamh Walsh.

Among those mentioned was Cavan-Monaghan Fianna Fail TD Niamh Smyth.
Deputy Smyth told Northern Sound that this commentary must be called out.
