Deputy Matt Carthy has been appointed Sinn Fein spokesperson on Foreign Affairs and Defence following a party reshuffle yesterday. Deputy Pauline Tully will remain as spokesperson for Disability and Carers.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Deputy Carthy said he was honoured to be selected for the role. He highlighted how "crucially important" Sinn Fein's work in the area will be. He added that Ireland's neutrality can help to play a "positive role" in peace and justice across the world.
