A local TD has called on members of the Mother and Baby Homes Commission to "do the right thing" in appearing before the Oireachtas.
Sinn Féin's Matt Carthy says the Oireachtas Committee on Children has invited the three commissioners to discuss the report, but this invitation was refused.
It follows comments made last week by one of the report's members, Mary Daly, who told an Oxford seminar that testimony from some survivors was discounted.
Deputy Carthy says "this revelation has caused enormous hurt and distress to survivors".
He added that it's "deeply concerning" that a commissioner was willing to speak at an academic seminar but declined to appear before the Oireachtas Committee.
Deputy Carthy told Northern Sound that there is an "imperative" on commissioners to answer "lingering questions":
