Despite a review of the need for Domestic Refuges nationally there's still no
promise of one for Cavan and Monaghan.
Local TD Brendan Smith says that he raised the issue with Minister Roderic
O'Gorman but he could not confirm if there would be a dedicated one for the
region.
Deputy Smith says that the current situation which sees local victims
travelling to Louth or Sligo is in efficient and inadequate.
