A local TD has called on the Minister for Agriculture to allow some buyers around mart rings.
Under current Level 5 restrictions, livestock mart sales have moved to online only.
Sinn Féin's Agriculture spokesperson, Matt Carthy, says online solutions can only offer part of the solution as many buyers don't have access to adequate broadband.
Deputy Carthy added that some marts do not have the infrastructure to facilitate wholly online sales.
He's called on the Agriculture Minister, Charlie McConalogue, to find an urgent resolution to the curtailment of mart operations.
