Local TD appointed to Oireachtas committee post

Cavan TD Pauline Tully has been elected vice-chair of the Oireachtas Disability Matters Committee.

The first time TD was elected Leas Cathaoirleach of the committee, which is chaired by Fianna Fáil TD Michael Moynihan.

Deputy Tully, who's one of two Sinn Féin TDs in Cavan-Monaghan, was appointed the party's spokesperson on disabilities and carers after February's election.
