A local suicide prevention charity says we must work as a community to fill the void in mental health supports before issues reach crisis point.
Christine Wynne from SOSAD in Cavan said the local region has a lot of services available to them, but people aren’t availing of them.
It comes after a number of suicides in Cavan and Monaghan in recent weeks, particularly within younger people.
She said people should know there are people out there who are happy to listen.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Christine Wynne said everyone has a duty to normalise seeking help at an early stage.
