A group of local wedding specialists and businesses have been honoured at this year's prestigious Irish Wedding Awards. These awards aim to recognise and reward those within the wedding industry that work towards making their client's big day as perfect as possible. Amsha Bridal in Crossdoney was crowned Ulster's Wedding Boutique of the Year, while the Cavan Crystal Hotel took home the award for Wedding Venue of the Year in Ulster.
Elsewhere, successful winners from the Northern Sound region included Bouquets2Banquets in Belturbet which won Florist of the Year for the Ulster region and Denise O'Reilly Cake Design in Tullybrick which picked up the award for Ulster's Cake Designer of the Year. Among the big winners on the night was Cavan's very own Edel Hennessy Hair which was crowned the overall winner for Freelance Wedding Hair and Makeup Specialist of the Year. Representing the region on a national skill was also D's Cakes from Co Monaghan which picked up the national award for Outstanding Wedding Supplier of the Year.
