15 students from Co. Cavan and Co. Monaghan have received prestigious Entrance Exhibition Awards from Trinity College Dublin. A total of 677 first-year students from Ireland and overseas received the awards. Seven students from Cavan and 8 students from Monaghan have been bestowed with these awards.
Entrance Exhibition Awards go to the students accepted into the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree programme who achieve the highest points among Trinity entrants from their secondary school, above a minimum of 500 CAO points.
Many former awardees have gone on to make a significant contribution to the economic, cultural, and political life of Ireland and beyond. Past Exhibitioners include Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar.
It was the first time that the awards were held in person since 2019. The successful Cavan students were Paul Eric Plunkett, Tahsin Iqbal, Ornagh Cox, Elijah Mahiya, Sebastien Bury, Shanice Alwell and Glenn O'Sullivan.
The successful Monaghan students were Ciaran Finnegan, Roberta Trimonyte, Niamh Mullin, Michal Naklicki, Kinga Kolaszewska, Emma Shirley Brown, Hanna Gorynska and Fachtna Mac Conghail.
