A Monaghan Town student is running for President of the Irish Second-Level Students' Union.
Adam Lambe is a 6th year student in St Macartan's and the ISSU regional officer for the Cavan-Monaghan region.
He also works with local youth organisations such as Comhairle na NÓg, Spunout, Fridays For Future, and Monaghan Youth Activists.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the campaign is taking place online this year and the election will take place this Sunday.
If elected, Adam says he wants to reform the Leaving Cert exam, and unify the ISSU by making it more democratic and work to engage more students by organising regional events.
