A local Sinn Fein TD has defended his party's stance on inheritance tax saying the number of people impacted would be 'miniscule'.
The party has proposed that inheritance tax would rise from 33 per cent to 36 per cent.
The Tánaiste said some of the recommendations of the Commission on Taxation are straight from the Sinn Féin election manifesto, however Matt Carthy says his party isn't going as far as what the Commission recommends.
Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show, Deputy Carthy said the majority of people wouldn't see a change.
