A local Senator says he "understands" frustration among Fianna Fáil voters about the leadership of Taoiseach Micheál Martin.
Robbie Gallagher added that from a Fianna Fáil perspective, the Katherine Zappone controversy has been "difficult to take".
Senator Gallagher says the Zappone affair was "disappointing" and added that Minister Simon Coveney has "let politics down in general".
While Robbie Gallagher says Fianna Fáil is "far from happy" and have "put down a marker" that this "sort of nonsense will not be tolerated", he added there are more important issues to be dealt with:
