A local senator believes we are finally seeing progress in the delivery of homes across the region.
Senator Robbie Gallagher says there is momentum in getting people on the property ladder but clearly more needs to be done.
The Monaghan town senator who is also a candidate in the upcoming General Election said the contained roll out of homes locally are needed for the demand.
Senator Gallagher said the Croí Cónaithe Vacant Homes Refurbishment housing initiative has been a major success to date.
So far this year over 400 applications have been approved to date for the initiative across Cavan and Monaghan.
