A local senator says the Cavan Roscommon match should go ahead tomorrow.
Leas Cathaoirleach of the Seanad Joe O’Reilly, has also defended the government’s handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, and stated they did respond immediately to the problems at the Nightingale Nursing Home.
In relation to the GAA Senator O’Reilly says that despite a member of the Roscommon panel testing positive for Covid, and the high incidence rates in Cavan, the match is a lifeline for many people and is important to keep everyone hopeful.
He also said that all precautions have been taken and the situation will be well monitored when the sides meet at Kingspan tomorrow afternoon.
