A local senator has welcomed an additional bus route by Bus Éireann for the Monaghan area to Dublin.
Despite this, Robbie Gallagher says the lack of service for customers is "very frustrating" and has been going on for a long time.
Only last week, Senator Gallagher said he was approached by two ladies at the Monaghan bus depot.
When the bus arrived, six seats were available, however they were told that the six seats had been pre-booked online, with four customers getting on in Castleblayney and a further two in Carrickmacrosss.
Senator Gallagher outlined the frustration felt by both women who had important hospital appointments to attend in Dublin.
While welcoming the additional service, the Monaghan representative stressed to Bus Éireann that not everyone is capable of using online booking systems.
As a result, he said that the service is looking at the possibility of installing "ticket vending machines" in both Monaghan and Cavan:
