The people of Cavan and Monaghan "deserve better."
That's according to Senator Robbie Gallagher who has criticised a response from the HSE on cardiology services as being "less than helpful."
GPs in both counties were asked last week to stop referring cardiology patients to the hospital, with no alternative option in place.
According to Senator Robbie Gallagher, the lack of detail around this decision is simply "not good enough."
Despite receiving correspondence since then from the HSE who now states that pre-existing pathways for cardiology patients remain in place in Cavan and Monaghan Hospital.
