Senator Robbie Gallagher raised the matter of remuneration and conditions for lower paid staff within the HSE with the Minister this week.
He says that a recent evaluation was carried out by the health authority and some categories of employee were completely ignored.
Seanator Gallagher highlighted how those not recommended for any upgrade include cleaners, laundry workers, domestics, groundsmen and gardeners.
He said those staff now feel they have been ignored by the process.
The Monaghan Senator added that they also feel disillusioned with the union; the communications process; the way the evaluation was completed, and are now considering industrial action.
