A local secondary school has welcomed celebrity chef Gary O'Hanlon to be the judge of its Transition Year cookery competition.
Beech Hill College held the competition yesterday, which was sponsored by the Hillgrove Hotel and saw students Ellie Connolly and Cónall Sheerin put their culinary skills to the test in front of their peers.
The celebrity chef was full of praise for the school and said it was exciting to see such interest in the competition:
There can only be one winner, and Cónall Sheerin fell just short, with Ellie Connolly picking up the top prize.
