All roads will lead to St Mogue's College in Bawnboy today for the start of
the widely anticipated Cavan and Monaghan Science Festival.
The free event will be held between 11am and 2pm and will kick-start the
festival which runs from the 5th until the 19th of November.
Speaking to Northern Sound, Karen McCague revealed people can expect
everything from the science behind Formula One racing to the psychology of
grief, as well as workshops on natural flooding management, beating brain fog
and the science of beating addiction and recovery as well as much more.
Karen also revealed that a schools programme would also be running
throughout the two counties over the festival period.
She added that the event will provide great opportunities for people of all
ages, particularly women and girls who want to explore the world of science
and engineering.
