St Patrick's National School has been crowned double county winners in the prestigious 'Someone Like Me' national art competition.
The local school which was named both junior and senior county winners will now join 46 other schools to compete for the national title.
The national awards ceremony will take place in Dublin City Hall on Wednesday the 17th of January.
The competition was created as part of the National Disability Authority's work to nurture more positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities.
Congratulating St Patrick's National School, Minister of State with responsibility for disability, Anne Rabbitte said that the number of entries
this year is a tribute to the commitment not just of the National Disability Authority, but also to Ireland's primary school teachers, who continue to play an important part helping to create an ever-more inclusive Ireland.
