A leading local retailer says shoppers won’t have any problems with wearing face coverings.
Gordon Fleming, from Fleming’s Supervalu in Monaghan Town, says many of his customers had already been wearing face coverings and that others will be easily persuaded because “nobody wants to go back to a lockdown situation”.
The wearing of face coverings is now required in shops and shopping centres.
Some retailers have been voicing concern that staff could be in the firing line if they have to enforce the measure.
However, Gordon Fleming told the Joe Finnegan Show that he doesn’t foresee any issues in enforcing the measure:
