The chef-proprietor of a local restaurant and gastropub says calling for last orders at 6.30 will make it very difficult for the hospitality sector.
While Gearoid Lynch says people have been "flexible" and are still coming to his restaurants for earlier bookings, he warned that others in the industry are closing until February.
From today, pubs, restaurants, and live events have to shut at 8 pm in a bid to curb the spread of the virus.
The measures will stay in place until the end of January.
