Pubs outside of Dublin are reopening today after being closed for six months.

Publicans in the capital will have to wait at least another three weeks before they can pull a pint.

Perspex screens are in place, tables are spaced apart, and kegs are full.

A Monaghan publican says he's not worried about reopening today.

Brian Reneghan from Clontibret says while the experience for customers will be different due to the Covid-19 guidelines

Meanwhile, Mary Lynch of Lynch's pub in Slane Co. Meath says they resisted the temptation to open earlier by serving food because they felt it went against public health advice.
