People across the Northern Sound region are being reminded that the Monaghan Injury Unit is open on weekdays for a range of injuries.
The Monaghan Injury Unit is open from 9am to 5pm, and treats injuries including broken bones, dislocations, wounds, scalds and burns, facial and eye injuries, and minor chest injuries.
The Unit can also provide x-rays as needed.

The average waiting time in the department is one hour.
Monaghan Hospital's Clinical Lead for Emergency Medicine, Ashraf Butt, says this is a much shorter wait than people will face if they attend the Emergency Department when they don't need to.
