A local Parish Priest says people feel disrespected by the lack of engagement from Government in relation to religious services.
Father Ultan McGoohan, Parish Priest of Bailieborough in Cavan says that the reintroduction of restrictions was harder for people of faith this time.
He says as the days get darker people want somewhere to meet people and feel safe, and that while there are online masses these are unsustainable in the long run.
Father Ultan also expressed his hope that they will be able to physically celebrate Christmas in the churches in some way.
