As part of their 60 year anniversary celebrations the Cavan Motorclub are hosting a car run today in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Society and Cootehill Cancer Care.
Starting from the Hotel Kilmore at 12:30, the run will cover a route of approximately 120km across Cavan taking in areas such as Crosskeys, Ballinagh, Crossdoney, a lunch break at Killykeen forest park, Redhills, Mountain Lodge and Stradone.
Motorists are asked to be aware of extra volumes of traffic in these areas particularly on secondary and minor roads
Andrew Wedlock is a member of the organizing committee and he noted that they are aware it is a busy time for all road users
