Local Minister Heather Humphreys has called on the people of Monaghan to help in any way they can to get closure for the McVeigh family.
The Minister's comments come as a search for the remains of Columba McVeigh resumed on Monday last, amid renewed calls for anyone with information to come forward.
The 19 year old was murdered 47 years ago by the IRA.
Columba is one of the "Disappeared" victims of the Troubles whose bodies have yet to be found.

"It was a terrible thing that happened at the time and I suppose it just goes to show you how precious life is. The family want to move forward but, to bring closure, to bring closure for the McVeigh family I would urge anybody who has any information, just give them the dignity of allowing Columba to be laid to rest beside his mother and his father".
