Minister for Social Protection, Heather Humphreys, will today represent the Irish Government at the 30th Anniversary of the Warrington Bombing in Manchester.
The event will also be attended by the families of two young boys - 3-year-old Jonathan Ball and 12-year-old Tim Parry - who died after bombs hidden in litter bins exploded on the 20th of March 1993.
54 others were injured in the blasts.
Minister Humphreys will attend a series of events including a visit to the bomb site and the commemoration will also be attended by former British Prime Minister, John Major.
The Minister added that the "horrific events" in Warrington in 1993 highlight the importance of peace and reconciliation on our islands.
"It is deeply humbling to represent the Irish Government in Warrington today to remember Jonathan Ball and Tim Parry," she added.
