Elderly people are being punished for the negligence of the younger generation.
That's the view of Monaghan native Aquinas McKenna, and it comes in the wake of a NPHET recommendation that older people limit their movements following a spike in Covid-19 cases.
He says he is shocked at the amount of younger people, particularly those in their 20s to 40s, who are not adhering to public health guidelines.
Aquinas told the Joe Finnegan Show that younger people are openly flouting the public health advice, despite the clear signage in shops and public places:
