A local insurance broker says the guidelines reducing personal injury claims is a positive steps towards reform for the motor industry.
The Junior Finance Minister announced the move yesterday following approval by the Judicial Council last month and will come into effect on the 23rd of this month.
Benny Sheridan from Sheridan Insurance in Cavan says it will make the claims process more user friendly and see the consumer better served going forward.
He says that reform has been needed for years especially given the past casualties from the motor insurance industry meant costs did rise.
