Farmers across the region demonstrated this morning over EU CAP reform proposals and climate action plans.
The Irish Farmers' Association says the future of commercial farming is under threat, and that would in turn have a negative impact on rural Ireland.
Rallies took place in Cavan and Monaghan towns earlier today.
The IFA claims farmers are being forced to do more to meet extra environmental regulations, but aren't being rewarded for upping their workload.
Chair of Cavan IFA Elizabeth Orminston says the current proposals go against what CAP was originally set up for.
