The HSE's Community Healthcare Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan and Sligo Social Response Team is in Cresslough to provide counselling support to members of the community there.
It has confirmed its presence in the Co Donegal village over the coming days after an explosion at a service station killed 10 people on Friday. The HSE says every bereaved family will be offered the contact details of a support person and that wider community support services will be available over the coming weeks and months as required.
People are being advised to contact their GP to access services. Meanwhile, The HSE's Social Response Team is working in partnership with Emergency Response personnel, Gardaí, Donegal County Council, the National Educational Psychological Service, and the wider community groups in response to the incident.
The HSE confirmed the Team comprises professionals from Letterkenny University Hospital, TUSLA and the HSE who provide psychological and social supports to people impacted by trauma.
