A local haulier is appealing a €125,000 judgement against him over a failure to pay for agricultural goods.
The High Court made the judgement against Aidan Hand of Magoney, Inniskeen, Dundalk, Co Louth last month.
In his judgement last month, Mr Justice Garret Simons said Lakeland Dairies Co-operative Society Ltd was entitled to summary judgement against Mr Aidan Hand, who had been supplied with foodstuffs and other products by the company on credit between May and October 2018.
The Judge said Mr Hand accepts in principle that he is indebted to Lakeland, and that he received the goods.
Mr Hand had resisted the judgement application for judgment because he wants to bring a counterclaim over an alleged breach of a separate contract for haulage services provided that had existed between the parties.
Mr Hand, through his Solicitor, has now said he has lodged an appeal against the judgement.
In a statement to Shannonside Northern Sound News he says the appeal against the decision of Mr Justice Simons was lodged in early February.
