The Community Safety Innovation Fund 2023 has opened for applications. It has been increased to €3m this year and is an initiative that uses money seized by An Garda Síochána and the Criminal Assets Bureau from the proceeds of crime to fund community projects.
The Fund is open to bodies involved in community safety and will support them in addressing local needs and opportunities for innovation. Deputy Niamh Smyth says the Fund provides an opportunity for communities to enhance the surroundings and make spaces safer to live and work in.
She added that those with ideas should contact their local Joint Policing Committee or the local authority. "Please don't hesitate to contact my office should you need any assistance in completing the application form. The call for applications for the Fund runs from the 27th of March until Friday the 19th of May and grants will range from €20,000 to €150,000.
"Completed Application Forms are to be returned by 5pm on the 19th of May to [email protected]," said Deputy Smyth. Meanwhile, for more information visit: https://www.gov.ie/en/publication/a5d23-2022-community-safety-innovation-fund-funding-call/
