A local group has been shortlisted for an award that celebrates resilience and creativity during the pandemic.
Co Cavan's Drumgoon Hill Old Graveyard committee is one of only two projects from the Republic of Ireland to have been shortlisted for the 2021 Creative Lives Awards.
The awards are open to groups and projects across Ireland and the UK and this year's focus is on resilience during covid, when many were forced to think outside the box to keep going.
Drumgoon Hill Old Graveyard is nominated for its "Hooley in the House", which was held as part of Culture Night festivities in September of 2020.
The winners will be announced in early March and voting is now open on the Creative Lives website.
