A local GP has warned that there is a "sense of denial" regarding covid cases.
Dr Illona Duffy says some people are "choosing not to believe" they have the virus.
She added that we are "seeing the limitations of the antigen tests", as people are only doing one test to ascertain if they have the virus.
In the two-week period leading up to the 19th of June, Co Monaghan had the seventh-lowest incidence rate of the virus, at 385 per 100,000.
Meanwhile, Co Cavan had the second lowest incidence rate, at 461.
