A local GP is hopeful NIAC will recommend using either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine as a second dose for people who received a first jab of AstraZeneca.
Illona Duffy says there's evidence this can provide additional protection against Covid-19.
NIAC has recommended the use of the AstraZeneca vaccine in all age groups, and Dr Illona Duffy says the Committee could also advise the government to mix and match vaccines.
