Local Gardaí are warning of a phone text scam that is currently in circulation.
In recent days, they have received reports from members of the public regarding the 'COVID SCAM' text message purporting to be from the HSE.
The text scam also claims the person is a close contact of someone with Covid-19.

The text then requests the receiver to click the attached link for bank details.
Gardaí are reminding listeners that the HSE doesn't charge for Covid-19 related services and are appealing to people not to disclose personal information over the phone or by text.
