Local Gardaí urge care on roads during cold snap

Local Gardaí are urging the public to take care on the roads during the current cold snap.

A status orange low temperature and ice warning comes into effect at 8pm this evening.

Temperatures could drop as low at -8 degrees in some places which may lead to treacherous driving conditions.

Along with this Gardaí are advising people to check in on elderly neighbours who may need assistance.
