Gardái in the Northern Sound region are appealing for motorists to adhere to the rules of the road following two arrests in the region this week.
On the evening of Tuesday, 11th August, a motorist was observed by Cavan gardaí overtaking a number of cars on the hatch markings on the N3.
The driver failed the roadside oral fluid test for cocaine and was arrested, with a court date to follow.
Hours later, gardaí in Carrickmacross observed a car driving dangerously on the wrong side of the road.
The driver abandoned the car in a nearby housing estate and was arrested after a short foot chase.
