A member of Monaghan Gardai has retired after 39 years of service.
Garda Seamie Gallagher spent his entire service based in the Monaghan District.
A presentation was made to the Ballyshannon native by Superintendent Pat O' Connell on behalf of the District Force.

Local Garda members from across the division would like to wish Seamie the very best in his retirement.
Superintendent O’Connell said he would like to wish Seamie and his family health and happiness in the next chapter and he thanked Mr Gallagher for almost 40 years of dedicated service to the people of Monaghan.
