Killinkere GAA Club have been given planning permission for an all-weather pitch.
Cavan County Council gave the local club the go ahead this week with 11 conditions attached.
The approved plans include an adjoining training area complete with high ball netting, new pitch fencing along with a viewing stand.
The Club also sought permission for the provision of high ball netting to the existing grass training pitch and all associated ancillary site works.
The leisure centre is the best known landmark in the area and is the centre of all club activities.
