A local funeral director says it's safer to allow larger gatherings for funerals than it is to restrict attendance to ten people.
Colm Kieran, a Kingscourt-based funeral director, says grandchildren and wider family members who cannot attend the service often gather outside of the Church, which leads to people "huddling under porches".
He says this is "more dangerous than having them inside and socially distanced" and has called for the numbers allowed to attend funeral services to be increased to 50.
