A number of local producers from Cavan and Monaghan were crowned winners of the Blas na hÉireann, Irish Food Awards. A total of nine producers from Co Cavan emerged victorious. This included; Liffey Meats, Manor Farm, Ice Cream Treats, Crust & Crumb Ireland Ltd, Drummully Boxty, Cullys Craft Bakery, Carleton Cakes, Aine Chocolates Ltd and Terra with Cully's Craft Bakery awarded Best in Co Cavan. Elsewhere, seven producers from Co Monaghan were announced as winners. This included; Connolly Meats, McCaughey Foods, Silver Hill Duck, IGWT, Lakeland Dairies Monaghan, Arthur Mallon Foods and Foraged & Infused with Silver Hill awarded Best in Co Monaghan.

Cully’s Craft Bakery has long been a pillar of excellence in our community and this recognition underpins their standing as an invaluable contributor to Cavan’s vibrant and thriving food sector. Their success is not just a win for their team but for all of us who take pride in seeing local businesses grow and expand in Co Cavan."
